Award-winning journalists Richard Schweid (Oscar nominee producer for the movie “Balseros”, 2002) and Montse Armengou - NYU King Juan Carlos I of Spain Chair in Spanish Culture and Civilization Spring 2017- discussed the potential of documentary films and investigative journalism as means of civic empowerment.
